There are 700-800 families farming coffee this section of Sidamo in the Guji Highlands. Each family tends to about 3 hectares (7.5 acres) of heirloom varietal, picking when the cherry reaches maximum ripeness, then bringing the coffee to Dambi Uddo Station for sorting and drying.
The opening aromas of vanilla, cherries, and jasmine melt into a silky smoothness of currant, dark chocolate, and black fig. The honey sweetness perfectly balances a soft black grape acidity, and the finish is long and gentle with hints of port and sandalwood.
