Description
There’s a place on the Big Island of Hawai’i where the slopes of Mauna Loa meet the Pacific; volcanic soil on one side, salt air on the other. It’s called Ka’ū, and it produces some of the most celebrated coffee in the islands.
This lot comes from Elepoki Coffee, a third-generation family farm in Moalua. Exceptional lots like this one have become harder to curate as climate change and land development continue to shrink the acreage available for coffee growing in Hawaii. Securing this coffee is something worth celebrating. It’s a Pacamara varietal, known for producing an unusually rich, full-bodied cup, and we think this one shows it beautifully.
